We believe in utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities to empower you on your path to emotional well-being. Our integrated approach combines various techniques, each carefully selected to address your unique needs:
CBT
(Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)
CBT is based on the belief that the way we feel and behave is a direct result of the way we think. It is not our external environment (people, situations, or events) that are the cause but how we think about them. By changing our negative thoughts to more balanced and positive ones, we can then feel and act in a healther way.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy)
EMDR is a phased, focused approach to treating trauma and other symptoms by reconnecting the traumatized person in a safe and measured way to the images, self-thoughts, emotions, and body sensations associated with the trauma, and allowing the natural healing powers of the brain to move toward adaptive resolutions.
SFT
(Solution Focused Therapy)
Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) is a goal-oriented approach to therapy that focuses on finding practical solutions to current problems rather than dwelling on past difficulties. With its emphasis on quickly finding and implementing solutions, SFT aims to help individuals identify and amplify their existing skills and abilities to create positive change in their lives.
DBT
(Dialectical Behavioural Therapy)
DBT is a modified type of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Its main goals are to teach people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others.
PLAYTHERAPY
Playtherapy is a type of therapy that uses play to help the child communicate what is distressing them, since children are not always able to express themselves verbally. In the the way talk therapy works in adults; children process through play and will act out issues in their play. Play is an important part of a child’s world.
TRAUMA-INFORMED THERAPY
Trauma-Informed Therapy is an approach in the human service field that assumes that an individual is more likely than not to have a history of trauma. Trauma-Informed Care recognizes the presence of trauma symptoms and acknowledges the role trauma may play in an individual’s life.

Self-care includes doing things that make you relax and turn off the mind from the busy day. Making time for yourself can be one of the hardest things to incorporate, either before or after a busy day, but self-care is one of the most important and best things you can do for yourself. Self-care examples include but are not limited to:
- Having a nice relaxing bath
- Coffee/tea with friends (even through Skype)
- Gardening
- Eating well and drinking lots of water
- Meditation
- Going to your spiritual advisor or place of healing (over the phone or on social media)
- Exercise
