CBT

EMDR is a phased, focused approach to treating trauma and other symptoms by reconnecting the traumatized person in a safe and measured way to the images, self-thoughts, emotions, and body sensations associated with the trauma, and allowing the natural healing powers of the brain to move toward adaptive resolutions.

(Solution Focused Therapy)

DBT
(Dialectical Behavioural Therapy)

PLAYTHERAPY

Playtherapy is a type of therapy that uses play to help the child communicate what is distressing them, since children are not always able to express themselves verbally. In the way talk therapy works in adults; children process through play and will act out issues in their play. Play is an important part of a child’s world.

TRAUMA-INFORMED THERAPY

Trauma-Informed Therapy is an approach in the human service field that assumes that an individual is more likely than not to have a history of trauma. Trauma-Informed Care recognizes the presence of trauma symptoms and acknowledges the role trauma may play in an individual’s life
